Street Stalls Travel Reviews

Walking through these bazaars is a very educational experience. The colors, smells (both good and bad), flavors, people and surroundings are almost overwhelming. I went to Jerusalem as a teen with my father and little sister, and we had a good laugh over some of the seller's hooks to get you in their shops. My favorite:

Seller: Japanese! Japanese! You like to buy shirt?
My Dad: I'm not Japanese, I'm Chinese.
Seller: Very good for your wife and son! Good price, very little yen!
Me: I'm not his wife!
My sister: I'm not a boy!

Great comments! I thought I'd seen the worst vendors in Istanbul and Hong Kong - but your experience in Jerusalem tops all :-D
