Stratford Upon Avon Vacation Guide

Stratford upon Avon is famous for William Shakespeare, who was born and died here. It is home to the famous Royal Shakespeare Company, who put on plays in their theatres along the river. There are a number of historic buildings, many associated with the Bard, and the town itself is very attractive. There are some good second hand book shops, the usual British High Street stores, adn some higher end boutiques. The area around the river is very pretty.

Stratford is close (day trip distance) to Birmingham and Coventry.
