A must see in Strasbourg Jun 01, 2011
The Strasbourg Cathedrale used to be the highest building in the world for two and a half centuries (1647 to 1874). Today it is still the 6th highest church in the world. You can climb on top of one of the platforms through the stairways on the right of the building. Access to the platform is free every 1st Sunday of the month. There you get a beautifull view of the city (unless it's very cloudy). You also need to see the astronomical clock; one of the largest in the world. It is animated and activates every 15 min. However the biggest animation occurs at noon. You'll have to pay at that time. Also be there a bit earlier.
