Statue is main object of Bali's art carving and sculpturing. Its designs are very famous, since they are commonly inspired by ritual activities,daily lives,floras and also faunas. The designs which are rooted the idea from ritual stuffs, ussually taking shape as God or barong landung couple. Meanwhile designs which are taken from daily lives ussually taking shape as person who works fisherman or people who does poultry activity. The designs taken from floras like banan,coconut,manggo tree or orchids. also from faunas shape like duck,frog,rabit,dolphin,tiger ext. one for sure.
Mostly statue made are from wood. However there are also carve statue made from paras or padas stone also lava stone. Now on they event created new type of stone but not that strong as natural stone for sure. if you go to ubud from denpasar,kuta,sanur,nusa dua ext you will find various models of statue which are carved as a relief or lamp place to be used at home as an accesory Part of the sunset at jimbaran beach bali travel blog |

…the horizon , glimpses of the ocean, nearing Ubud you pass through the more well known villages of Batubalan, famous for its stone carving where there workshops are seen from the road. We also passed through Celuk which showcases its gold and silver jewellery. the nicest village that the car past through was Batuan made famous by its traditional paintings and wooden carvings if your into shopping… Rafting the Telagawaja river |

We went to Mount Kawi, one of Bali's oldest monuments, means "carving in the
mount". A steep stone stairway leads down into a beautiful valley where
