Stone Carvings

Statue is main object of Bali's art carving and sculpturing. Its designs are very famous, since they are commonly inspired by ritual activities,daily lives,floras and also faunas. The designs which are rooted the idea from ritual stuffs, ussually taking shape as God or barong landung couple. Meanwhile designs which are taken from daily lives ussually taking shape as person who works fisherman or people who does poultry activity. The designs taken from floras like banan,coconut,manggo tree or orchids. also from faunas shape like duck,frog,rabit,dolphin,tiger ext. one for sure.

Mostly statue made are from wood. However there are also carve statue made from paras or padas stone also lava stone. Now on they event created new type of stone but not that strong as natural stone for sure.
