Stomorica Zadar Reviews
Konoba Jul 09, 2009
Located in the middle of downtown Zadar, this is a legendary hang-out place for the locals. It started out decades ago with a tiny little Konoba where drinks and local snacks are offered. "Konoba" is the typical Dalmatian restaurant (see also my description here: http://www.travbuddy.com/travel-blogs/57169/Konoba-9). This place still exists and it's great to have a quick snack and a drink and chat. Just across the street the restaurant has opened, in two old houses and an inner yard, decorated with rustic Dalmatian things. It feels like being a guest in a private house.
The menu is standard Dalmatian: fish, grilled meat, salads, sweets. It's good and fresh and reasonably priced.
Sometimes they have live music, with a guitar player singing local tunes. A very cosy and nice place, just perfect.
