The town where Oklahoma began, Stillwater sprung up in as the first settlement in the then-Unassigned Lands area in 1884. Since then, Stillwater has grown into a city of roughly 50,000 people and is home to Oklahoma's largest university system, Oklahoma State University.

It's a city with two tales, as the main core of its population are the OSU students. But it's grounded by the middle-class working population, which has gone up in recent years. It's a very green city, with the landscaping of the OSU campus and many parks and three area lakes providing an escape from everyday life.

Big enough to have many nice ammenities but small enough to feel like a town where everyone knows you, Stillwater is that perfect mix of community without the isolation that most rural towns are burdened with.
