Stevie's Bar and Grill: San Jose in a Strip Mall Apr 20, 2008
We spent the night at Atousa's house in San Jose so we could get an early start along the windy road to the park. Atousa took us to some place called Stevie's Bar, in a strip mall, which was kind of like tasting the sampler platter of life in San Jose: a mix of bikers, fratboys, suburban dads drinking beer, and girls our age with babies. Did I mention this place was in a strip mall?
On the plus side, the portions in San Jose are twice the size of portions in San Francisco. This includes food, but also the giant glasses our beers came in. Sarah was very popular with the San Jose folk. She sat down and some dude immediately wanted to pet her purse. No, literally. I guess he liked corduroy.
