Stepenice Belgrade Reviews
Convenient location Jun 28, 2014
Closeness of this restaurant to our hostel, not more than 2 minutes walk, was the only reason why we decided to dine there.
When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, but they still served food so we stayed. In addition to traditional Serbian cuisine, the restaurant serves also Chinese and Italian dishes.
For our last, very late, meal we wanted something traditional and simple. Having tasted some of the dishes before, we decided on veal soup, stuffed pljeskavica (mincemeat burger stuffed with cheese, ham and mushrooms) and fragottini di mele (pancakes with apples, raisins, cinnamon, rum and caramel). The food was accompanied by guarana drinks.
The soup was nice, but not even close to being as good as the one I had in Banja Luka (Bosnia). Pljeskavica tasted good with all its stuffing, but the potion was much smaller than the one we ordered in Nis. Pancake was actually pretty good except it was not quite typical Serbian dish.
The overall experience was okey, nothing special though that would make us come back unless for the price.
Total paid - around €12.
