A hunted place in the middle of Toten Mar 23, 2011
his one is in the heart of Toten, which is not on the way anywhere so I would recommend this one only if you are visiting someone in the area. But if you are in the area, don't miss it!

When walking in it is is your own private ghost town, with many actual ghost stories and folklore related to it. Most locals would probably be bale to tell you many of the stories, But even if you happen to walk there without a local guide, it's worth the walk.

It is completely free and will provide you with lovely scenery: Old houses, lovely woods, small lakes and unique feeling.

Once a year there is an open day with traditional local buns, Norwegian folk dancing, horseback riding for kids and an opportunity to observe some of the old crafts such as lace making, yarn making and plowing the ground.

A historical site Sep 06, 2008
This open-air museum offers a classic 19th century cultural landscape, a traditional farm, a cotter`s farm, a summer mountain farm and worker barracks.

Stenberg was originally a farm, but have since they turned it into a museum been devided into several farms. They have moved old houses, barns and blacksmiths from other parts of the county here, and they are very well preserved.

There are lots of different activities and arangements thruout the summer. Both for kids and addults. Some of then do cost money, but it's a fair price.

I love walking around this place. There are walking trails all around and you get a feeling of peace while there. Well worth a visit...
