Stena Lynx III Rosslare to Fishgurad Wales

We took the Stena Lynx III Rosslare to Fishguard Wales to save 2 hours from the normal 4 hour Ferry trip on a larger vessel. If the Larger very is late there is a chance you would have to stay in Fish guard for a day as there are only 2 trains out of Fishguard, Wales. We made the reservations on the internet prior to leaving the states. The Port terminal (for Ferry and Train) had no resturant just vending machines. Rosslare is only about 15 minutes South of Wexford and also has a rental car drop off and pick-up. The Express boat is also called the Vomit Comit because if its just a bit rough you are going to Hurl!!!! so they say. We got lucky it was very smooth and made for a quick and smooth crossing. The express ferry is a Catamaran that did about 45 knots and kicked up a serious Rooster Tail. Plenty to eat on Board, restrooms, game room and very comfortable chairs etc. After arriving in Wales, we took the train (Same Terminal) to Cardiff then switched trains to Portsmouth, Engkland for a 6 night stay!! Over all trip from Wexford Ireland to Portsmouth, England was 15 hours, 7 hours of train travel but very lovely views of the Wales and Englan Country side enroute Portsmouth, Highly recomended Rail Travel!!!
