Restaurant with live music Apr 21, 2013
After a long day of walking the mountains, it was time to find the place for the evening dinner. As many other restaurants, Stek Chałupa is located in the pedestrian Krupówki Street. It is well know for its traditional charcoal grill dishes.

We decided to go in since we could hear a mountaineers music being played by a local musicians' group. This usually very busy restaurant, wasn't overcrowded today at all (tourist season not yet started) so it was easy to find a table. We chose to sit upstairs with the view towards the ground level with the bar and the band.

When we sat, we were approached by a waitress wearing traditional regional dress who presented us with menu.

It wasn't a difficult choice of the drink and the food. I knew what I wanted - mulled wine and Polish pierogi with cottage cheese (dumplings).

The waitress took drinks order, and while we were enjoying the conversation and the music, she served the drinks and was ready to take our food order.

The food arrived quickly and looked appetising. And it did taste like my grandma's home-cooked meal. Delicious :)

The bill total - £12 per person.

This restaurant is a bit more expansive that the one we visited yesterday (Harnasiowa Chata) since it is located in the center of Krupówki Street. It is still worth the visit cause it is quite unique for this area, so I do recommend the visit.
