Genuine Philly Cheesesteaks Apr 08, 2008
While everyone else is waiting in a line that rounds the corner to order a cheesesteak from Pat's on South Street, just a few blocks down is Steaks on South or SOS. We were in Philly for a concert and knew we wanted to enjoy a philly cheesesteak before heading to the concert. It was a Saturday night on South Street so the line for Pat's was honestly out the door and around the corner. Since I've eaten at Pat's before, we walked down a little bit and stumbled upon SOS. No lines and a nice booth to sit in were the first things we noticed. The second thing we noticed were how good the food was! Definitely not the place to tempt your self if you're on a diet, but if you're in the mood for an authentic philly cheesesteak, don't overlook SOS! Also, check out the website before you go...sometimes there are coupons!! Enjoy the whiz!
