2 / 2 TravBuddies found this review helpful/trustworthy Affordable accomodations on the Maas River Jan 27, 2008 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: STAYOKAY HOSTEL - MAASTRICHT +31-43-750-1790 www.stayokay.com/maastricht After a delightful day touring marvelous Maastricht, Raphke (Raphje) and Sanne (sannekoek) kindly walked their bikes with me to Stayokay Hostel. The hostel is relatively new, having opened in April 2007. It's located on the bank of the Maas River about 1½ miles from Maastricht's main drag and a 20 minute walk from the train station. The place has a clean, contemporary lobby and both clerks I interacted with were helpful and courteous. The accomodations are what you expect in a budget hostel. Because business was slow, I was fortunate to get a four cot room to myself with its own bathroom. I would recommend Stayokay Maastricht to anyone looking for cheap quarters that doesn't mind staying a little bit away from the action.
