A nice place to stay in an interesting city. Nov 17, 2008
This was a nice place to stay. Reasonably priced. A little bit of a mission to reach the city centre, you have to catch the bus by the hospital. The beds were ok, but then again I'm a tall guy so most beds will be ok.
The breakfasts were really good, perfect start to the morning. The Bar was nice and lively, and all in all there was very good service from the staff. The 1 thing that I didn't like was the fact that if you wanted dinner you had to book in advance, the times I wanted they were not serving, so it was a little bit of an annoyance having to go all the way into the city for supper. And make that a second, when I was staying there there were a lot of families there and their kids were a bit annoying, and the parents were prone to hogging the bar. Easy sleepover Jul 04, 2008
I suppose it is ment to be cheap, but I don't really think so. But it is affortable. I guess a real hotel will be more expensive. There isn't much luxery, but you have everything basic you need: a bed, a shower (which stops every couple of minutes, probably to discourage long showers) a chair and desk, clean sheets. You can rent a towel and you can pay extra for diner. Breakfast is included and very basic, but good.
I like the little English pub they made here. I sat there the second time I came here and drank coffee, hot choco and read a book. I also like the surroundings. It's out of the centre, but I'm with my bike so it's no problem. It's quiet here and very green. Part of the Arnhem & Veluwe tour travel blog |

Now and then I stop to look at my map to find my way to the Stayokay somewhere hidden in a green quiet backwater. Why they got a award for best town centre is still a question, because till now I haven't encountered anything special there. But the rest of the city makes up for it abundantly. And so I decide… Arnhem by bike [132,50] |

Stayokay Arnhem was more quiet and cosier then the one I had been in Amsterdam. But still it isn´t my thing. I was lying in a room with one other girl who came in at 4 o´clock quit drunk. After that I suspected… Veluwe Zoom route by bike [70,26km] |
