Staybridge Suites Dallas near the Galleria

I love this hotel, but I think I say that each time I stay at a Holiday Inn property. This place is very convenient for all the things I really enjoy doing while in the Dallas area. Located right off 635 and Coit near 75 north, makes this property a perfect launching point.

The lobby is very inviting, clean and stylish. I plunged down for a few minutes as I was heading to breakfast and the couches are just great.

When I checked in, they had my room ready, welcomed me with a nice card and offered me a free soft drink and snack to tide me over until dinner. That was a nice little bonus. The young man at the counter was very inviting, which really seems to be the gold standard for these properties.

The rooms are really large and very clean. I like that they have kitchens with all the supplies needed to cook a meal. I made my way to Whole Foods and found some great items to prepare a quick, but good meal. The free coffee is a great bonus. It is Wolfgang Pucks European roast. Dark and full bodied in both decaf and regular.

The bed was so comfortable. There were four pillows on the bed. All different firmnesses. Is that a word? The amenities, furniture, the 2 tv’s, ceiling fans and access to all the services on the property. One of the things I really like, but didn’t use is the free laundry. They had washers and dryers free for guest. That was nice especially if you are traveling across country and or the airlines lost your luggage.

The free breakfast each morning is great as well. It is served buffet style which allows you to fill up for the day. They actually use real plates and silverware with plastic utensils and paper plates for take out. They will even give you a small back to take a snack away with you. Breakfast hours are 6:30am - 9:30am (Mon-Fri) 7:30am-10:30am (Sat/Sun) offering a variety of Egg dishes, breakfast meats, cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit along with juices, coffee, teas. Tue-Thur 5:30p-7:30p hey offer a light fare with beer, wine & sodas.

The up-to-date fitness room with treadmill, recumbent bicycle, elliptical trainer and some free weights was clean and inviting. They have clean towels, a large tv and plenty of magazines to read while working out. As you step out of the exercise room you head out to the patio area with a large swimming pool, a nice size hot tub, plenty of tables, a couple of bbq grills and just a clean and comfortable place to relax.

There is a nice library with books, computers and a small table to just work. There is also an executive center that will allow you to log onto the internet. Along with the free parking around the property, you will find this a very good deal when staying in the N Central Dallas area.
