Terrible Jan 19, 2009
I am not sure where to begin. Ok well, the website I found this hotel on did offer pictures but I think they used a wide angle lens. We walked in to a busy front desk, people buzzing about and finally got checked in. The painfully slow elevator took us up to a small corridor and we found our room. I opened the door and started to laugh, it brushed by the bed. This was not going to work, the room was super small. We eventually squeezed our way in and let me remind you now that my boyfriend is 6'3". So it was a big guy in a little room. Trying to make the best of the situation while he is shaking his head at my lovely room reservation skills. Next was the bathroom where the toilet didn't work well and the shower didn't drain. Way to start my first visit to New York and my birthday week. I did keep in mind that the hotel was built in the 1920's and was being remodeled but this room was post remodel. YIKES!

Luckily with my boyfriend told the front desk that my birthday trip will not be ruined due to our crappy room. Eventually they gave us a "suite" about 5 square feet bigger and a toilet you could flush a small child thru if not careful. Their try for a modern feel was amusing..the bathroom had the amenities but just was not what you would have expected from a so called suite. I do realize though that this room was bigger than a hostel room for 2 people but we were paying a lot more. The only MAJOR plus was we were right in Time Square and pizza was delivered directly to our hotel room door. I don't suggest this place unless you are not going to be in the room at all. I cannot complain too much because it made for some really funny memories!
