Station Bar (2060 bar?) Reviews
Sep 26, 2007
There is some confusion over what this bar is called. I have found reviews on the internet that call it the 2060 bar, formerly Station Tavern, but there is a bloke on the street with a sign advertising The Station so I'm going to presume for the meantime it's called that.
The bar itself is booths and plush seating around a level-one carpeted room with lots of windows. There's obviously something of a regular crowd - the bar staff swapping greetings and banter with some of the surrounding tables, us included. Generally a relaxed place for those looking for a quick drink after work before heading home. They serve proper UK-sized pints, and do a lunch and dinner meal deal where you can get any main meal on the menu for $8 when bought with a drink. Food is good, and my friends eat here so often rather than cook that they've done the menu to death. Still it can't be bad if they keep coming back. Part of the Round the World travel blog |
