I was told that there was very little to do in Kuching, but on a day off I spent and amazing few hours in a local National Park...Bako. I saw three types of monkey, including the probosis monkey, two types of snake, numerous insects, amazing plants, monitor lizards, spiders, wild boar and so many birds it was hard to keep count.Just amazing

I must have dozed off for a bit as this morning I was woken by a  phone call from Tina at the Australian Embassy in Kuala Lumpar. Was VERY glad to speak to someone who could tell me what to do next.... this is what I had to do 1)Go to the Kuching Immigration office and pay 100 Ringett for a special pass that would allow me to fly to K.L. 2)Transfer my Malaysian Airlines flight from Kuching - Singapore to Kuching -K.L. People i met here, who contributed to and improved my trip: Julia (Russia) After waking at 7.30, i eventually arrived into Miri from Brunei at 15.30 and timed it perfectly to meet up with Julia at the long distance bus station, after she had flown in from Kota Kinabalu. It was great to see her again, but i soon got grilled for leaving her alone at the port.
