Sabah is situated in Malaysian Borneo, is the second largest state in Malaysia. The state capital is Kota Kinabalu.
Known as the "land below the wind", Sabah has lush tropical rainforest and stunning tropical islands teeming with incredible diversity of marine life. Sabah is a gateway to eco-adventures such as diving, river cruising, mountain climbing, white-water rafting and caving.
The majestic Mount Kinabalu, standing at 4,095m is one of the highest peak in Southeast Asia. Its main attraction is Kinabalu Park, Malaysia's first World Heritage site. This dense jungle contains one of the world's richest assemblage of flora and fauna.
Sabah has a number of excellent dive spots, with the jewel being the world-famous Sipadan Island. Its location at the heart of the Indo Pacific Basin makes it one of the richest marine habitats in the world.
Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center is said to be the world's largest Orang Utan sanctuary, serves to rescue and retain the primates for jungle living.
Sabah is famed for splendid souvenirs including accessories - beads and pearls as well as handicrafts.

I woke up early today because I wanted to be at the Marine Park and begin snorkeling before the sun rises to its scorching heat temperature. I took a quick breakfast, wrapped 2 slices of white bread, stuffed it in my backpack and walked northwards from Gaya Street to the Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. We had to be up early again with scuba lessons starting at 8:30am and today we had an awesome breakfast of Rotti which is like the Indian version of pancakes, at least that’s my take on them. Instead of syrup though, you dip them in a somewhat spicy curry type sauce as well as a sweet sauce that is yellow in color. The rotti was really good, although it feels a little weird to eat something with curry for breakfast.

Relaxed again yesterday after the whirlwind of the 5 Island.
The usual suspects applied… golf, pool, and a stint downtown. The two new things entered here were ‘Fly Fish’ and a blowpipe.
As part of a cultural thing, they had a blowpipe and target setup at the hotel and I figured I’d give it a go… see if I could land a monkey with a poison dart if need be.
I even surprised myself with some respectable results. None better than dart#1. A bullseye from 20 paces… *phew* …I guess …
