This is a 4 star hotel ,but it doesnt look like even a 3 stars hotel...It seemed to me that it is an old-fashion hotel with its design...

It is located in a good place where u can easily reach the subway, just by the station of Metaxourghio subway..

there are lots taxis you take in front of the hotel, if you do not want to ride the subway or get on a bus..

The room where we stayed, was enough big and averagely okay...has tv, mini bar, a safe case..for wi-fi internet, you should pay...

the breakfast was american -style, that is probably because of american groups staying at the holte...It have alots varieties of breakfast...

If you cannot find any hotel at plaka area or around the acropolis, then it is suggested to stay...

it didn't look like it is a 4-star hotel... May 08, 2009
Location: The hotel is in a central location. It is walking distance to the Plaka and Archaeological Museum. About one mile away to Monasteraki and Parliament Building. And about two miles to the Acropolis. There are close-by bus stops, Metro and Rail Stations, so it is convenient to move around. The downside of that is a very busy and dirty surroundings. Nonetheless, it is safe to walk during night time. The day we arrived in the hotel; we were “welcomed” with thousands of pieces of papers scattered all around the hotel’s perimeter. The papers were like political campaign materials. I’m not sure if there was an election going on in Greece at that time.

Room: Our room is small. There is no ventilation. There were two twin beds and a small table. The light fixtures failed to work but fixed immediately.

Bathroom: The bathroom was also tiny. Actually, "bathroom" is an exaggerated word. The shower area is like a cubicle, and it flooded the entire floor when I took a shower.

Breakfast: The amount and kinds of food served was good. There were choices from hot (eggs, hams, bacons, etc.) to cold breakfasts (cereals, breads, cheeses and yoghurt). Fruits and veggies (sliced tomatoes & cucumbers and a few kinds of olives) were also available. For beverages, they have coffee and fruit juices.

Check-in process: Ours was fast and easy.

Amenities: There is a bar that serves all kinds of cocktail and alcohol drinks. There is a pool and a great view of the city at the rooftop but we didn’t know they had it.

I checked their website and they claim to be a 4-Star hotel but based on my experience, I don’t think it is. What I think is Stanley Hotel is another budget hotel.

As far as their room rates, I have no idea because it was arranged for us by the travel agency.

As far as WI-FI use, I don't remember if they had because we did not bring any computer device.

From their website, the room pictures looked appealing but it wasn't in our stay. However, they probably have upgraded their rooms.

We stayed at Stanley Hotel in 2009. I know it has been a while, and some of my inputs might have been obsolete, but there are things that remain true -- the hotel's location for example.

This is the hotel I spent the most time in on this vacation. First and foremost, if you rent a car you'll run into problems. There is very little parking around this hotel. Luckily I was on a tour when I stayed here. I was in for a rude awakening because coming from California where they banned smoking close by any building and inside well when we stepped into the lobby...whoa it reeked of cigarette smoke. Otherwise lobby ambiance was good. Getting to the room was somewhat of a challenge. I packed too much or my luggage was way too big. The elevator is not that big. Otherwise you can take the stairs. Hmm...I think we were on the top floors so no can do. The room was cozy. It was clean. I was happy that we had AC. Geez, it was hot there. The bathroom was clean. It was small. We had a balcony though the view wasn't great. Its was ok. If you looked up you can see the restaurant or the people in the restaurant can see you. Just make sure your curtains are closed. The hotel was cool because it was close to a lot of stuff. You can walk to the underground station and go to Flaka. They had a whole lot of shops there. You can walk a couple blocks and there's more shops there. A woman's shopping paradise. You can kick it at the hotel and they had a restaurant on the top floor. For my last night in Athens, I had a drink with the person who organized the whole trip. I'm a happy camper with ambiance and this bar had it. It was a little nippy but the drink warmed me up and as I was chatting with them I felt like this was a nice way to end my last night in Athens. I recommend the hotel. Its a bit pricey though. Euros is no joke compared to the American dollar.
Self explanatory
