Staminee de Garre - Bruges - Nightlife & Entertainment Reviews

This bar was recommended to me as something different from the majority. I'm not sure you'd bump into it unless you're curious about narrow alleyways, but it's easy to find:
It opens at 12.00 and provides food but all I had time for was one glass of the house beer, Tripel de Garre. It was lovely!
The building is, like lots of others, old but welcoming. A roaring fire took the chill out of the bones and the waitress was swift, friendly and kindly understanding of my awful attempt at basic Flemish.
I can't rate the selection of beers against any other establishment because this was my first time in Bruges, but all I will say is that when I next go back, I'm setting aside a good couple of hours for this place as it just had such a good feel to it.... and an impressive range of other beers to sample.
