Great facade Oct 10, 2011
The church definitely has a Venetian influence to it, and the region had a strong influence on the church. It was based on the church of Santa Maria della Salute in Venice. Built in the seventeenth century, the interior is not bad but certainly not as impressive as the one in Venice. The interior was rather lacking in decoration but seemed to be frequently attended by the locals. This was a very short visit for me, and its familiar looking fa├žade was the key thing about this church. As it is not far from the centre of Rijeka, it might be worth a very quick visit.
