The secrets from the St. Stephans Cathedral Aug 19, 2009
The St. Stephans Cathedral is mysterious and we have a lot of stories about that church, and one thing i can tell you. On both sides from the Cathedral are the sexual organ of a human!!! You not believe me, here is the proof (a text from the Website with all stories about that curch)
It's not typical for a church building that they are two double half-columns on the west facade of St. Stephen's Cathedral, whose northern end lifelike in a male and its southern just such a female sexual organ. They are in tension with the shapes of the two "Heath towers". Their function is to express the perfection of humans in his bisexuality. Website with all mysterious stories (sadly only in german but you can translate it in google ;)) http://peter-diem.at/Buchtexte/stephansdom.htm Go and see self!!! Beautiful Gothic Cathedral - St. Stephen's Cathedral Jun 14, 2006
This Cathedral is Austrian most important and greatest Gothic edifice. It houses a wealth of art treasures, some of which can only be seen during a guided tour.
Inside you'll find the sepulcher of Emperor Frederick III; the pulpit; the Altarpiece of Wiener Neustadt and the tomb of Prince Eugene of Savoy. The architecture is awesome and overwhelming. But, if you are fit and want to get one of the best views of the city, I highly suggest to climb the 343 steps of the tower aka Steffi. It's open from 9am - 5:30pm. It costs something extra, but a breathtaking view is priceless. Part of the Backpacking in Europe solo but not lonely :) travel blog |
