Beauty on the beach Jul 30, 2008
I stayed at the St. Regis Bora Bora for 5 nights in August 2008. We had a premium over the water bungalow that offered fantastic views of the lagoon. Each bunglow has its own private deck with an outdoor dining table, lounge chairs and a lower platform that leads into the water.
The living room has a viewing window on the floor so you can see the sea life under the bungalow. Unfortunately there aren't any coral reefs in the Bora Bora lagoon, thus there really aren't any tropical fish that swim under the bungalow. During my stay, the only thing I saw swimming under the bungalow was a manta ray. The St. Regis hotel is expensive, but then again, so are the majority of resorts in French Polynesia. But they do everything possible to earn their reputation - service is great, food is great, amenities are great, etc... Part of the French Polynesia travel blog

Quintessential Vacation Aug 08, 2008
WOW! This place is truly unbelievable! We were here only 2 blissful days during our honeymoon. We tried to extend our time in Bora by a day, but the flight back to Papeete didn't have any extra room.
We upgraded to a Premier Overwater Bungalow with a jacuzzi on the deck. The bungalow was over 2000sf! Just unreal... The service was top-notch, of course... everything you'd expect from St. Regis. We were there July 2007, and the USD was falling; probably not as bad as now, but it was VERY expensive then. Plus everything is naturally more expensive at a St. Regis and Tahiti in general, being that they import 90% of everything! From France!! Example, a burger was $30USD. |

It's an hour flight from Moorea to Bora Bora but that includes a brief passenger pickup at the island of Raiatea. We landed in Bora Bora and the staff from the St. Regis hotel gathered our luggage and directed us to the boat that would take us to …St. Regis hotel gathered our luggage and directed us to the boat that would take us to the resort.
