St. Peter's Church,Riga Reviews
St.Peter's Church. Apr 04, 2013
St.Peter's Church first was mentioned in year 1209.This Church first was a Catholic church till 1523.Then it turned Lutheran. The Tower was destroyed several times, because then Tower was wooden.First time when it got completely ruined was in year 1666.It was rebuilt a year later, this time it was made of construction of glass ritual.Of course during Both World Wars,it got damaged again, and tower was on fire once again, but finally in year 1973 it was finally rebuilt, and this time it is still standing, how it should be!
St.Peter's Church have a rich history and i just give you a little bit glimpse of it.I'm not top History teller :D!
Now about Inside the Church and why it's worth to visit.
Location in Center, near Blackheads house, you can't miss this Tower. Admission fee is expensive (my opinion),but you can take the lift to the observation platform for spectacular views of the city, and take awesome photos of City. And then money well spend ;).
Also inside is small museum, more like exhibitions of Latvian culture.
