Old St. Mary's: Historic Roman Catholic Church Nov 24, 2010
This historic church began way back in the 1800s with a few German immigrants. This original tower construction began in 1860 and completed three years later in 1863 is much smaller than the twin next door to it. The interior is simplistic with blue tinted windows and an old confession box at the back of the church. The church was constructed in a true christian manner with thick walls and a large foundation. The seventy-two food steeple is the most prominent and distinguishing feature of the building. The corbel stone vaulting contributes to the uniqueness of the structure.
