St. Katherine Monastery Sep 05, 2011
St. Katherine Monastery is an Byzantine Orthodox monasticism.
Wich was build in the 6th AD. It holds the burning bush and Moses well. Or so is believed by Christians.
"The Monastery of St. Katherine is the oldest continuously inhabited monastery in the World and its library has the largest religious collection next to the Vatican only."
It situated in the dessert. And when you climb the rock in front you can take great pictures.
Youre not allowed to take pictures inside of the Monastery. Besides that it's the only thing you can see besides the burnin bush and Moses well. You can't go in the whole monastery. I thin that is because there are still people living there.
Is it worth visiting. Yes if your there for more then a week and if your interested in a bit of history.
But if your there for a short amount of time a would defenitly choose Luxor or even Cairo.
