St. Christopher's Village Reviews
Social Hostel for Lone Backpackers Jan 09, 2009
This is a great hostel in a great location! It's ideal for college backpackers that are looking to meet people from all over the world. There is a Belushi's bar that has Strongbow, Foster's, Beck's, and Amstel on tap. Every night the hostel organizes something free to do: Karaoke night, Comedy Night, Pub Crawls, 80's night (there is a club downstairs), live music, and more! You can go on walking tours every morning at 11am or pub crawls every evening. There are plenty of safe places to store your belongings - it's best to bring a master lock so that you can get the cages. The only bad thing about this place is the weird stale beer smell in the foyer....but that just means the hostel had a great time from the night before! There is also free wi-fi in the chill lounge (best to bring laptop) and there is a movie theater as well - although the screen can be fuzzy at times. If you forgot your toothbrush...no worries! You can get one from the vending machine for 70P in the lobby. One of my most memorable nights was playing inebriated twister in the chill lounge with random strangers that eventually became great adventure buddies!

I couldn't check into my hostel (St. Christopher's Village) until 2 pm so I dropped off my stuff and did some sightseeing. It was raining pretty hard and i got lost right away (what a great start). 40 minutes later I found the Thames River which is where most of the tourist… Day 2: Hello London! |
