St Anthony Falls Minneapolis Reviews
The Story of Minneapolis begins at St. Anthony Falls Apr 22, 2011
This falls is not the spectacular kind that drops a thousand feet down, but it is powerful enough to harness electricity. It is easily seen from different angles and vantage points in Minneapolis. I was able to see it while the Guthrie Theater where I had gone to see a play. The falls and the Stone Arch Bridge made for an outstanding view of nature and made made barriers to nature's forces. Definitely something to see when in the Twin cities.
Before it was tapped for hydro electric power, it was considered a sacred site, named after a saint. It was the only natural water falls on the Mississippi River. It's force can still be felt and heard from across the miles as one looks down from buildings or on the bridge. Highly recommended.
