Sprint Penzion Prague Reviews
Meat and greet Jun 03, 2008
Friendly staff - it helps if you can speak Czech though as they aren't particularly on the ball.
Rooms are quite spacious, although the beds are rock hard, and in the Prague summer, it's not great having to sleep under a huge hot duvet. There is a window though, which opens up onto a full-sized football pitch where an amateur team SK Stresovice 1911 play every Saturday and Sunday morning.
Breakfast is pretty crap - sweaty meat slices and bread with a yoghurt, placed outside your door every morning at 7am. Would have rather had a buffet affair, but as we were the only guests I guess this is cheaper.
The showers and bogs are fine, away down the corridor to share with folk. Don't bother with the en suite unless you've got some kind of hideous disease you don't like others seeing, it's a waste of money as the joint ones are fine. BRING A TOWEL though, as you will be provided with a small flannel-sized towel, a small soap and no shampoo. They don't get replaced and they are for use for the duration of your stay.
Getting in late is a bit weird, as one member of the family sits up and waits for you to get in so they can lock the front door. Why not have a key that opens your room AND the front door?
Hygiene is OK...although we did see our breakfasts for the week made up on Day 1, sitting in the fridge. The food and drink they sell is too expensive - there's a huge supermarlet down the road where you can buy food and eat at the picnic table in your room.
Enjoyed the stay, mainly as we were the only ones there - with others, it might have been a bit annoying. I would reccomend, as long as all you want is a quiet place to chill out after a day in Prague.
