Springside Impression Coffee House
Springside Impression Coffee House Zhouzhuang Reviews
Western style alternative from pig knuckle Oct 27, 2011
Zhouzhuang is known for its glazed pig knuckle and pretty much every restaurant in town is serving this "delicacy". Apart from that, there are also plenty of traditional restaurants. However the Springside Impression Coffee House is the only eatery serving western food we managed to discover in all of Zhouzhuang.
The Coffee shop is located next to the main canal, next to the Peace Bridge and close to where the pleasure boats dock. The sitting area has a nice view on the canal and has a typical coffee shop look and feel.
On the menu there is obviously coffee, juice, shakes... as well as several sandwiches and cakes.
Since Zhouzhuang is mainly visited by Chinese tourists, we were the only people in the coffee shop. Yet it took quite some time to get our Club Sandwich served. We could hear it being prepared in the kitchen in the back.
The sandwich was well worth the wait. We got a huge portion of omelet, fresh lettuce and tomato on toasted bread, topped off with thousand Island sauce.
Even though it did not quite taste as at home yet, this was a very good attempt to offer western style food too.
