Spotted Horse Overview

Spotted Horse is a tiny spot along the road with a population of 2 (unchanged since 2000) located along U.S. Highways 14 and 16 in Campbell County in Northeast Wyoming not far from the border with Montana. The 1811 Hunt’s Astorian Overland Expedition passed through this area while headed to Oregon. The town was named for a local Indian guy and has now adopted a toy spotted horse as its unofficial mascot. They had a post office until 1964.
