Split Hostel Reviews
Booze and Snooze May 17, 2008
When we arrived in Split hostel the check in procedure was nice and smooth. They had lockers which were big enough to get our backpacks and day bags in.Which i was impressed with. The bunks themselves were comfortable enough and the showers were very clean.
The only problem i had was although the hostels tag was ''Booze and Snooze'' the people working there didnt seem to be very bothered about helping you out.And from what i had heard the only time they were interested was when they interested in men staying there. The noise thing bothered me there but i suppose it wasnt there fault they had a loud mouthed croatian synchronised swimming team and an extremely immature canadian girl staying there! We stayed in Zagreb in a Hostelling International hostel. With all your standard HI hostel mod cons including no sockets, loud people, inadequate facilities, long check-in times and a lack of friendliness from the staff. Here in Split we're in about as independent a hostel as you can get. In fact… Palaces, and how to find them |

After staying in some old woman's bedroom on my first night here, I went to Split Hostel. My haven! This place is awesome. The girls who run it are from Australia and are just the nicest people. Last night, I dormed with an Aussie girl who was here to meet her friend, two Aussie boys who have been backpacking around the world… I love SPLIT!!!!!!!! |

The six of us were pretty exhausted and Kiwi ladies had a hostel so Linda, Monika and I went to a park to have a nap in the shade. When we woke up, I realized I didn't have my purse. Before freaking out, we walked back to the hostel to see if I had left… Uneventful day until I was robbed in a park! |

at the look of horror on my face he called the hostel for me & chatted for a while, then the owner told me she would come & pick me up in her car! Rescued again. The hostel was basically a basement granny-flat with bunk beds, but it was perfectly adequate & the owner… oh glorious sunshine! |
