Split City Museum - Muzej Grada Splita Reviews
Split City Museum May 07, 2015
Admission : Adults 20kn (2015-May)
The entrance is along a narrow street (almost every street in Split is), and you might just miss it. The outer wall hides the museum nicely and that sign is the main indicator you have arrived.
Recommended for those who want to know more about the history of the old town and the surroundings. It has items dating from Roman days through medieval times.
Collections include :
Coins, Paintings, Furniture, Stone Sculptures,
Religious artifacts, Weapons, Drawings,
Archived texts, Antique books, Glassware,
Ceramics and Clothing.
If you have 2-3 hours and like history, have a good time slowly browsing through. You can see the artifacts and have an idea of how people lived through the various periods of Split.
If you are into copious amounts of alcohol and deafening music, then this place is not for you. lol
