No 'free of charge' facilities Sep 05, 2013
This time, we had to pay for pitching our tents as suitable places to do so were too far away from the lodge, and even the one that was miles away belonged to the lodge and was chargable (so, to not pay, you'd have to pitch another 300 metres further away). We put our up on the other side of the river where there was a separate building with shower rooms and self-catering kitchen/diner so we didn’t have to walk far to access those basic facilities. Food was really nice, though pricey (£13-15 per person). Separate charge for boiling water and pack lunch. Lodge was lovely, warm and accommodating, with some degree of entertainment. We spent a lovely evening there. Staff were nice but hard to find, especially at busy meal times, so you had to wait long to pay for services.

Hi you mentioned having to pay to set up camp around Spiterstulen. I was wondering if you knew how far away was nearest free camping area? Also, do you if there's a public transit from Gjentenheim to Spiterstulen?

Thanks!
