Spilia Restaurant Mykonos Reviews
Spilia Restaurant Nov 06, 2010
I was hard to convince my friends to go to this restaurant while we were passing in front of it several times...Why I chose? same deal that it was small , looked so local and friendly, and many people inside...
We went in and sat on a table near the window which has sunflower on the ledge and some other flowers and of course Nutella Chocolate which you can see everywhere on the island..I think mykonos people love Nutella ....The restaurant looked so local...not so touristy even tourist coming ...that is a nice feeling...
So this waitress, she is old greek lady coming to ask what we order with a language mixed with greek and language...and that was funny because she taking the order and writing on paper and she just calling loudy the chef to prepare our orders just beside us in greek language...seemed to me it is very turkish as well...
We ordered stuffed tomatoe, zuchini, greek salads , gyros...and hmm, some greek olives and beers...it was all yummy and delicous..and forgot to mention about Baklava...The waitress told us that they have a homemade greek baklava so I decided to try so Called Greek Baklava( well,I am turkish so Baklava comes from Turkey to me, specificly from my homecity called Gaziantep),so I tried the baklava..it was a big slice of Baklava which so unusual to me, because we always have smaller slices..and the other thing is that it has cinnamon in it which make the taste weird with walnut...I still suggest you to baklava if you ever come to turkey..However if You wanna taste some sweet with cinnamon, you can try...
This place is very local for those want to taste delicious food and see natural environment of the island..
