Spetses Island Reviews
The Island of Fragrances Jun 05, 2011
Spetses island, though small in size excites the visitors with its lush, pine forested landscape. Due to its aromatic plants, the island gained its name "the island of fragrances". The port, which is surrounded by beautiful bars and cafes that serve drinks until dawn, is a nice place to enjoy a drink at night while watching a small lights of fishing boats in the harbor. The island has a lovely architecture with impressive and picturesque old buildings. The beaches offer a soft golden sand, multi-coloured pebbles and clear water. Aside from buses, water taxis are the common means to reach the beaches. Riding the horse carriage is another romantic experience not to be missed, as it feels like you are a prince/princes in the medieval time.
