Specific areas in Bali - Reviews - Bali

Bali is a compacted island where you can find whatever you want and whichever you like.
However there is some area if need a specific ambience:
- Kuta: surfing beach - hard rock - back packers area inside the lanes, small cafes, lots of places to eat. Good spot for a single traveller who wants to meet and hang around with new people. Youngsters.
- Legian: adjacent to Kuta, streets with plenty of shops, clothes and food and souvenirs, famous for bars. Walking distance from Kuta. back packers area.
- Ubud: artist places.. with tourist markets, village's temples, nice, reserved restaurants and nice view to the hanging rice fields... nice place to pamper yourself with a great session of spa.
- Sanur: beach area on the other side of the island - exit to Nusa Dua island for water sports - back packers area.
- Nusa Dua: post, secluded place on the beach, with 5-starts hotels and resosts. Not many things happening.. more for a laid back vacationers.
- Uluwatu/GWK/Dreamland beach - cultural spot: a bit far from everywhere
- Kintamani, Batur lake and mountain: typical mointain area, cool air and the mother temple of Besakih.
