Spanish Governor's Palace San Antonio Reviews
Knowing about the life of a provincial Spanish governor Mar 03, 2012
The Spanish Governor's Palace is in my opinion San Antonio's second most important attraction after the Alamo.
The name "palace" is a bit misleading as it is indeed basically just a house. I am sure that the house was large for the standard back in those days, especially in an isolated Mexican province like Texas.
The first room we entered was the bedroom and the bed reminded me of my grandma's bed, lol. All the house was decorated with cool objects from those times and gives you an idea of the lifestyle of a Mexican/Spanish authority of those times.
The patio is really lovely decorated with beautiful plants. In a way, visiting this place is like visiting a museum in Mexico. I totally recommend you don't miss this place after visiting the world famous Alamo. Entrance tickets are very cheap.
