Southwestern USA Reviews

Any of the four states that make up the "four corners" area is amazing. So much to do and see. Arizona use to be one of the major states for retiring. But thank god its slowed down a little. Guess all those snow-birds didn't like 330+ days of clear blue skies and sun a year. Tucson and Phoenix tend to be hot in the summer. But to be honest, triple digit temps (with very low humidity) in these areas feel like the hot and muggy temps you would see in the Carolinas or like Florida. However, Flagstaff is great. Since its higher up in elevation you'll actually get a "seasonal" effect.
Home prices were lower then in the southern region of the state. And alot better then anything in Southern Florida where I am. I thought the prices were pretty average.
If you love being out doors. This place is amazing. So much too do is all I can say. Utah and Colorado are only a few hours away. And the Mexican border is only a half day away. Not to mention how close you'll be to the Grand Canyon.
Heck there are a few areas around your neck of the woods that are nice for retiring. Good luck in where ever you decide on :-)
