SouthWest Shortstop Mar 09, 2009
Uhm... Have flown so many Airlines in my life, and SouthWest has been the only that the flight has been terribly bumpy every time and the pilot shortstopped twice by the terminal almost bumping into the building.. I would pay an addtional $40 bucs to feel safe and to get to pick my seat :)

Cheap and comfortable - Southwest Airlines Feb 23, 2009
I started to fly with them just by chance. I was in Fort Lauderdale and had to go to New Orleans.
It was a nice surprise. They are a budget airline because of the prices - always have promotions - but have a good service. The staff is very friendly. They don't serve food, of course, but do their best to make you comfortable. Furthermore they don't charge for checking your bag. What surprised me was that when you check in, you don't get your seat number, just a zone letter. When you are boarding, they will call the zones and you can choose your seat. I found that funny, haha. The planes aren't the newest, but are comfortable. They have a reward program which doesn't care about the miles, just the number of flights. They fly just domestic in the USA and not to many places. I wish they fly to more destinations... The flight attendants are helpful and friendly. Well, you can't beat good prices + good service. |

My favorite domestic carrier Feb 19, 2009
I have flown Southwest airlnes for a little over five years since I have been resident in the United States and I have had but one complaint. I have enjoyed each flight and service on this career price not withstanding. I'm a frequent flier member of Southwest who is getting ready to fly free on my next trip with this career. While the planes owned by this company are not exactly new, I have found they do their best to maintain and keep them serviced except for the one occassion I travelled to Kansas City and sad next to the lavatories and noticed that there was so much waste paper on the floor, and the hostess continualy went by untill I asked if the lavatory was going to be tended to before the flight landed. Not to mention I was the victim of the not so good sight and smell.
If nothing else, the air hostesses are very friendly. |

Just in case you are not familiar with DFW airport, it is the third busiest airport in world and also one of largest with a size of close to 30 square miles, that’s larger than the island of Manhattan ( New York City ). Also it is the main hub for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines both headquartered in Dallas. … Leaving DFW airport |
