Southstreet Seaport New York Reviews
Summertime refuge Aug 22, 2009
In the summertime, there are always individual street musicians here, and sometimes they are damn good, whether acoustic or hooked up with their electrical guitars.
Also at the pier at Southstreet Seaport there are often free performances thru the River-to-River festivals.
It is a shopping area by the East River, with plenty of areas to sit outside: benches, chairs, lounges etc. There are great views of the old ships docked by the pier, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the downtown Manhattan area. I recommend to visit in the summer for the welcome breeze in a muggy NYC summer and live free music.
