The best thing about the hostel is the location being in the Recoletta area and close to the many Tourist sites and Subway Stations on Santa Fe & the MicroCentre or City Centre about 25minute walk. They have at reception various phamphlets of available tours they can book which was really useful for me.

The rooms I slept in first 3days was in a private room it certainly need a lick of paint and bathroom was pretty basic not at all like the pictures we see advertised on there website. The rest of my time was in dorm room (6 Beds) again could have done with a lick of paint and a curtain on the window ( we improvised an jammed a Sheet in the window)and maybe the bunks needed replacing or thicker mattress as they wernt very comfortable.

It was a nice hostel but I dont think I could reconmened it to my friends but if you want a cheap option and dont mind about the loud radio that is often blasting at nite with no regard for other backpackers who maybe sleeping. I never noticed the nites I stayed there on a friday being a Happy Hour as advertised on the website. Although they did have a Halloween Party whilst I was there. And there wasnt really a bar just a counter with liquor above it.

The downside would be for the english speakers who dont speak spanish as most of the backpackers are from neighbouring countries so language can be a barrier if your not fluent in spanish. But on the upside there are a number of staff members like Carmello who speaks fluent english.
