Southbank Parklands
Southbank Parklands Reviews
May 20, 2004
One of my favourite things to do in Brisbane was visit the Southbank Parklands.
Suituated on the South side of the river and accessible by bridge, ferry or citycat, this huge area consists of a manmade beach, gardens, restaurants, shops, bars, theatres, a Japanese Shrine and the cities cultural centre. Southbank is such an asset to Brisbane as the weather is always hot and it's great to be able to go for a swim in the city when shopping and doing errands. It's also a great place for a night out as there are a lot of good bars and restaurants in or close to the parklands and the views of the city at night are just magical. There are also markets in Southbank every Sunday. Part of the Brisbane - 2004-2006 travel blog |
