Last night was a nightmare. I laid down, a little late at almost midnight, and fell asleep alone in the room. Unfortunately three drunk travellers came in a bit later and couldn't stop talking about how drunk they were. One of them needed water...another needed to use the bathroom…

Sorrento can be found perched high on the cliffs above the Bay of Naples along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. It has become one of Italy's top vacation destinations and it's easy to see why. Stunning vistas, quaint streets, friendly people and the scent of lemon in the air are just a few o…

Caught the train to Naples and then took the local train (Circumvesvian) to Sorrento. The Circumvesvian wasn't the most comfortable ride, but the cheapest way to get to Sorrento. The hostel (Seven Hostel) we stayed at was great, I absolutely loved staying there. It felt more like …

Ari, the Mekenzies and I went to Pompei to see the ruins. This was essentially why I came to Sorrento, and I've been looking forward to it for a long time. I was not disappointed! I was amazed at how well preserved everything was. The city, as some of you may know, was completely wiped out by Mount…

Around 8 AM, I woke up to get on the boat to Sorrento, but first we had to board a small ship to the island of Capri, and then we had to take a cable car all the way up to the mountains to get a closer look of the city. There were a lot of shops and stuff, but we were mainl there for the tour and s…

I'm sitting on a chair on the edge of the Hotel Cocumella pool. Today we walked to some places around Sorrento that we could paint or visit. I did a drawing at the Marina Grande, which is a little fishing village. My professor back in Baltimore drew fishing nets there when she went on this trip. We…

Went to stay with a friend living in Milan from prep school. Was a great friend and I was looking forward to traveling to Rome, Florence, Sorrento and the sea side but realized he was a terrible host! and whats more is that he was a terrible friend! got sick and left my in Florence and then ditched me to go to Rome alone!! Haven't spoken to his since...Thankfully though my boyfriend was meeting me in Rome and we had a wonderful rest of the time :)
