Sonoita Creek State Natural Area Patagonia Reviews
A Birdwatchers Travel Destination Aug 14, 2006
It is right next to the Patagonia Lake State park and within hiking distance. For the nature lover, this is a great place to see nature; the Hummingbirds, the endangered Gila Topminnow and rare birds. It has great hiking trails as well as horse trails. Its semi desert grassland makes for a perfect hiking terrain.
For the bird watcher this is definitely a place to add to your 'To do' list or 'Bucket List'. I'm more of a hiker, my daughter and I enjoyed hiking and seeing the beautiful views of the surrounding terrain. It is cooler in April and May, it gets really hot from June through October. This is Arizona so it is HOT!
