Somerset Collection Troy Reviews
Michigan's Finest Mall Oct 04, 2011
Somerset Collection, located in Troy, is as its title says. A collection of high end stores, shops and restaurants separated into North and South sections. Located right on Big Beaver you can get there from Bloomfield Hills, Troy or Birmingham. Most notably, the infamous exit 69 off of I-75 is probably the quickest and easiest way to get there.
Somerset is an indoor mall that is separated into the North and South sections via a sky wall which is raised right over Big Beaver. The store has 3 floors in the North Section all accessible via Elevators, stairs and escalators. The South section has a lower and upper level all accessible via stairs, escalators and elevators.
The North section houses stores such as Nordstroms, Macys, Sunglasses Hut, Tommy Hilfiger, Loft, Bath and Body Works, Abercrombie and Fitch, Vera Bradley and other higher end stores. On the 3rd floor resides a foot court where you can choose from sandwiches, pizza, thai food, chinese food or deserts. There are also coffee shops located around Macys, inside Macys and in the food court as well. There are also a variety of sit down restaurants such as Capitol Grille and J Alexanders.
When it comes to the South section I guess you would call this a step up from the North section when it comes to prices. (if that's possible) Stores include Nieman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Burberry, Brooks Brothers, Tiffany's and Co, J. Crew, Louie Vuitton and others. While there is no food court there are a few restaurants that can be visited in this section. They are P.F. Changs, Brio Grille and a McCormick and Schmicks is located in the parking lot only a few meters away.
As I have said before this is the most luxurious mall in Michigan so prices will be expensive as expected. Saying that you are getting the quality and service that comes with it. The security at the mall is always present and the amount of walk way the person has to meander through the mall is adequate at the very least.
To sum it up you will have a very good experience if this is your first time. If you are a frequent visitor than I don't need to tell you at all about the wonders of Somerset Collection.
