Travelling in Sain Feb 27, 2016
I travelled Spain in Jan -Feb 2016. A great country with helpful people and beautiful places to visit.

I visited Seville, Cordoba, Burgos, Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona in a 16 Days trip.

The Architecture in all the places is worth watching.

The best way to travel between cities is by train as they are fast and available at regular intervals. The best way to explore all the places is on foot (if few places are far, one can take a bus or metro). In small places like Seville, Cordoba, is better to stay in historic centre because all the places of importance are nearby. Also In Madrid, stay in central(i stayed in Hotel Principe Pio). The atmosphere of Andalusia is different from that of Catalonia. But both have a different style. At this time of the year, Spain is not a beach destination (like in Barcelona or Ibiza) but have many historical places to visit.Food is not a problem as one can find all types of food. Just enjoy "Sangria".

Do not depend on hotels to book your tours. Better do homework and book everything on your own(even the tickets for a football match).Places like Seville, Cordoba,Burgos are good for two night stay (if you reach there in the day). These cities needs one and a half day to visit. For a party loving person, Madrid and Barcelona are good as there are good clubs. The party starts at 2.00 in the morning and continue till 6.00.If you are during a time when there is football match or a bull fight, do not miss it as the ambiance in the stadium is super(i watched a match between Real Madrid & Espanyol). Enjoy your trip to Spain....Besos...

Madrid was a great city despite the fact they charge you to enter the airport via the subway (1 euro). I was there only for the weekend, but that is enough time if you only want to see the basic sights. A must see is Flamenco. We went to a bar that had free singing, but drinks were a little pricy (20 euro for a bottle of wine, 3 for a .3L of beer). It was an entertaining experience. The royal castle is beautiful on the outside. The spainards definatly know how to party which makes for a great night-life. Kapital was definatly the best club you could go for. Look for people carrying around little cards outside the club. You get a discount on cover, plus 2 free drinks if you have one. Plaza Mayor is nice, but expensive. I stayed in MadHostel, which was nice, but a little pricy for what you got. Location was great though. The subway is fantastic and runs everwhere. You can just jump the ticket thing, as long as there are no subway employees around. If you get caught, just dont let them know you speak any spanish and claim not to have any money (neither was a real challenge for me) and if you live abroad it will be tough for them to send you a ticket. Overall definatly recommend seeing Madrid. I will have to see more of Spain another time though
