Sol Tenerife Hotel Playa de las Americas

First of all, this is not a 4* hotel, maybe 2*, been there in august 2008...Everything is old and dirty.They have old rooms with some improvements,new doors,new furniture.The refrigerator did not work, and so did the air conditioning, antique small TV with no remotecontrol,we also had some problems with the toliet...Close to the elevator the water was liking out and nobody seemed to be interested by the flood.Not to mention that you have to waait and waait and waaiiiit again for the slowest elevator to come.The staff was unpolite, rude, the chamber-maid entered the room without knocking, several times and so did the plumber that came to fix the toilet.You can hear everything from the room next to you. We could hear some noise coming out from all the bars and pubs in the zone, during the night but it was bearable.The food was good but not great, cute pool area. The hotel needs a refreshing renovation because it has a very good location, sea and beach view. If you are looking for a nice and clean hotel with good services, definitely do not go there!!! the price is not justified!!!
