Sofitel Phokeethra Royal Angkor Hotel Siem Reap

We loved this hotel. We upgraded to a deluxe room.....fabulous. Very much a five star hotel. There are several restaurants, wonderful grounds and a fabulous free-form swimming pool with a nice swim-up bar. The pool was empty most of the times we went. The hotel is very well located for the Angkor Complex.
The open air restaurant provides live entertainment most evenings during dinner. We particularly enjoyed the culture show. Enchanting music, beautiful costumes and mesmerising dancing.
When we arrived at Siem Reap airport we were missing one suitcase...and yes.. it was Lyndas! Not a happy lady!! Once we had settled in to our hotel room, I went off to see the concierge and asked for his help in finding the missing suitcase. He said he would deal with it. We went off to dinner (Lynda wearing one of my shirts and a pair of my shorts)!! and by the time we had finished our meal, we were informed that the missing case had been located in Bangkok airport. It was delivered to our room just a few hours later. Now that's what I call service!
